The Cottesloe Business Association decided to form a promotions arm to promote the Cottesloe business district between Forrest, Jarrad, Stirling Highway and Railway Road. This arm became known as PROCOTT Incorporated and is run by a Board who have met regularly over the past two years to develop the name Cottesloe Village, the events planned by PROCOTT to be run over the course of the year in the precinct, a Website, a “What’s On” column and a brochure. A portion of the rates collected by the Town of Cottesloe from the Cottesloe Village precinct are set aside to be used by PROCOTT to advertise and promote the shopping area. The objects of PROCOTT are (b) to promote and foster co-operation between the members of the Association for their mutual benefit; (c) to conduct, organise and set up promotional programmes, decorations, publicity, special events, co-operative advertising and other joint ventures in the general interests of the Association; (d) to take all such steps and to do all such acts or things as are necessary or desirable to be done for or in connection with the performance of its functions; (e) to conduct competitions and give prizes; (f) to provide entertainment for shoppers and others in the CBD; (g) to be actively interested in the civic progress of the CBD and to get the Cottesloe Business Association Inc to act on any concerns; (h) to bring together city retailers,
professional people and civic authorities and others for
the purpose of improving the city and its facilities as a
retail destination through the Cottesloe Business Association
